The Modesto Sunrise Rotary Club is thrilled to present the 2nd Annual Operation Firewalk, a transformative event designed to inspire, empower, and challenge our community. Experience remarkable stories of resilience and bravery, then push your limits with hands-on activities like safely walking over hot coals.
We are honored to feature two distinguished keynote speakers:
Stan Rapada: A 35-year Veteran of the U.S. Navy and Army, Stan has dedicated his life to supporting veterans and active duty service members, establishing and directing veterans centers at San Joaquin Delta College and the University of the Pacific. His work in storytelling and filmmaking highlights the experiences of veterans, service members, and refugees, bringing their journeys to life.
Bobby Senn: A retired FDNY firefighter and 9/11 survivor, Bobby endured the collapse of the World Trade Center towers and has since become a powerful advocate for mental health and resilience. His journey through post-traumatic stress disorder serves as an inspiration for those overcoming life’s toughest challenges.
This event goes beyond inspiring stories, it's a hands-on experience where you, alongside your family and community, will face fears, break barriers, and discover your true strength. Join us for a night of breakthroughs and transformation, uniting veterans, active duty service members, first responders, and their families to build a resilient, supportive community ready to take on any challenge.
Let’s come together, Ignite our Potential, and Walk through Fear!
Last Passenger Off The Plane...
Dave's transformative journey into the realm of firewalking began in 1995, catalyzed by a profound experience at a Tony Robbins seminar. Initially skeptical about the prospect of walking across coals heated to over 1000 degrees, it was a last-minute surge of encouragement that propelled him to step onto the fiery path.
Triumphantly reaching the end of the fire lane, he was greeted with enthusiastic chants of 'You did it!' This pivotal moment not only marked Dave's successful initiation into firewalking but also ignited a lifelong passion and fascination with this ancient practice.
Over the years, Dave has become an esteemed expert in the field, deeply versed in the ritual's rich history across various cultures worldwide. Firewalking, a practice that embodies courage, faith, and the strength to face and conquer fears, has allowed Dave to guide others in overcoming their challenges, proving that with the right mindset, anyone can transform fear into a powerful catalyst for personal achievement and growth.
